My name is Jenny.
You can find me in St. Lou-ay.
So…why The Reckless Chef? Okay, so I’m not actually a chef — I’ve never taken a cooking class in my life, I just enjoy making food. As far as that reckless part goes? Sometimes, I catch fire while I’m cooking. I’m just accident-prone (I almost named the blog “The Accident-Prone Chef,” but “reckless” is shorter). My hair is now approximately 9 inches shorter than when I started this blog, and I have some permanent burn marks on my hands. I’m also minus two spatulas. Despite this, I do make some very pretty food, and most of the time it tastes very good. I’ll be sure to let you know when it doesn’t!
When I’m not cooking, I’m a software geek. I also play a lot of video games. Halo 3 was responsible for some really messed up cupcakes. Strangely enough, Madden ‘09 is responsible for some excellent sugar cookies.

I cook in my fire proof NASCAR racing suit. I’m safe and I look cool.

Dare I ask where one gets a fireproof suit?

They’re really hard to come by unless you go to race car camp. I got my space suit at space camp.

Video Games and dessert? I approve. You’ve just gotten another reader. I’m eager to try some of your recipes this next weekend, as I need to make a good snack.
